    Exhausting! But that's a nice place you've got now. I'll be in Bozeman/Billings and some part of western Idaho - I think I'm aiming for the Roxburg Flight Museum or Idaho Falls - can't manage the drive to Boisie on a short trip. All part of 'getting' my 47th and 48th state - I'm a city person - or at least a suburban one, and Idaho especially is a bit outside my usual comfort zone; 5 miles out of DC. Genuinely sorry about the job, though perhaps after 20 years union and involuntary reduction you have good package. [Such things do not exist in my industry] Having had to change jobs at 55+ (and managed to match pay, lucky me), I know that's tough.

    Hope you can work out the you tube situation. Everyone now is so strict on security, if you change something as a location or phone number it will lock out the account. Hope you don't have to close out the existing account and sign up for a new account , looks like they are trying force you to do. Some of the large diesel trucks with the computers, and emissions are junk,, glad it did not leave you completely stranded the engine probably had an emissions system problem and derated itself and limited the speed. Well wishes on getting settled in. Home and property prices is getting insanely expensive along with property taxes here in Texas too, so it's getting expensive everywhere .

    Yep, that's life for ya! Perhaps uploading all of the content to a new channel would give that channel the traction it so richly deserves. I love those encyclopedic rundowns! BTW - the new (old) house is absolutely beautiful! Here, just outside NYC, all I can afford for probably the same money is a 60-year old shoebox with no garage. I have to live vicariously through youtubers. Best of luck getting settled in the new digs and will look for videos whenever, where ever.

    Thank you for making and sharing so many great videos. I hope to be able to see your future work after you fix things with UA-cam. If your UA-cam problems persist consider going over to Nebula. It's creator owned and would have your interests more highly prioritized than UA-cam. Your are not the first to have problems with that rental truck company. While helping a friend move across country our truck problems included 3 trucks and we manually loading from one truck to the next twice. You were lucky to get help from them after their truck messed up. We got none and I've sworn off that company ever since.

    Wow... Congrats on the new home. I am sorry for all that drama you have been through. That was indeed a lot. You have the supprt of family and friends. You overcame so many challenges. That was a lot. There was so much you said, but the video was still interesting and informative. I hope you will get the other issues sorted out. I hope that you will return in the future and you get to keep your You Tube account. If you have to start again, I hope to find your new channel. Please take care and I wish you and your family the best as you start your new life and your new home. I like the Ford Crown Victoria Country Squire wagon and your Chevrolet Malibu wagon. Still going strong in 2024.

    This is an amazing saga and thank you for sharing! A cautionary tale for the ages. Your wife is one in a million, so hold onto her, but maybe refer to her as 'my wife' or by her (ficticious?) name instead of 'the wife'. That just sounds a little dismissive to this boomer! LOL! I have turned many a motorhead friend on to your channel and will continue to do so because I think your content is #1 on the internet. I hope this is not your last video because I learn something new with each posting. Keep your chin up, friend! Things can only get better, right?

    • @thehopelesscarguy
      @thehopelesscarguy 4 дні тому

      I don't think of it as dismissive, but as an indicator that she is the only one that counts, for me. So I shall most certainly be keeping her around. And things do appear to be looking up.

    Holy cluster muck, Carguy! How you managed to be so calm matter-of-fact for this video is a testament to your character. I enjoy your channel and really hope you get things straightened out so it can continue, but more importantly I sincerely hope that your career will flourish and you will triumph when the dust settles. Your new house looks to have wonderful potential, so maybe a second channel devoted to its restoration is in order? Be well, and best of luck! We're all pulling for you!

    Thank you for the video. I got behind watching videos. It was interesting the AMC Hornet lived into the early 1980's and the Marverick returned years later as a small truck in 2024. The Dodge Dart returned briefly. The other interesting thing is the length of some of these models are midsized cars in 2024. Omega! The Oldsmobile of small cars. Thank you for going global as well. The Mini Cooper still lives today under BMW ownership. The Datsun Sunny is Nissan Sentra today and The Toyota Corolla is still thriving all over the world.

    Two things I could never figure out, about Riviera from '63 forward: Why was Wildcat continued, since it was just a "hot" LeSabre? And if you could afford a Wildcat..you certainly could afford a Riv. Secondly..why was there never a '63 (and forward) Riviera convertible, until the 80s??
